They called her Mimi
- Gillian Alexander -
They called her Mimi
She was a cat of circumstances
Beautiful she was, she had no home
They took her in.
Her elegance was outstanding
And her grace pleased those around her
She had a grey coat, razor sharp eyes
And purred when rubbed, with such delight
She drank milk that was warmed
As a midnight treat before bed
And her cry was impossible to ignore
She was no hassle
She sat in a corner, gently stroking her legs
With her tongue, each corner barely missing
She was of such content
Her days well spent.
